FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is a captive portal?
It is the login page people see when they join your Wi-Fi. They enter their mobile number, get an OTP and are online. You decide the speed, time limit and branding.
Is a login page required by law?
For Wi-Fi used by the public, DoT rules require each user to be verified, usually by mobile OTP, and usage logs to be kept. Our portal does both. Staff-only networks can use a password or company login instead.
Can I keep my existing access points?
Often yes, if they support an external captive portal. We check during the site survey and otherwise supply suitable access points.
How is it priced?
By the number of access points, users and internet bandwidth, after a free site survey. Educational institutions and registered NGOs get it at no-profit, no-loss rates.
Guest WiFi that follows the rules
Offering free WiFi to guests, patients or residents means you must know who is using it. Under DoT rules, public WiFi users must be verified and logs kept. Our managed WiFi does this for you.
How it works
Guests connect, enter their mobile number and get an OTP. You can also print vouchers for hotel rooms or events. Each user gets a speed limit you set, and logs are stored as required.
Where it is used
- Hotels, guest houses and restaurants
- Hospitals and clinic waiting areas
- Offices, co-working spaces and campuses
- Residential societies and builder projects
Run it on a business broadband connection or an Internet Leased Line for larger sites.
